CWPS offers a wide range of free programs to support our students and families
This page will have information on student well-being programs currently being run, you will also be able to download any permission forms required for your students to participate.
All of these programs are sponsored by local services, organisations, and businesses and are run by volunteers.
Students can start their day with toast and milk from 8.30 – 8.50am daily. Research has demonstrated the academic and social benefits of eating breakfast every day. This free program is run by volunteers and supported by local businesses to ensure all students can engage fully in learning. The aims of this program are to encourage students to arrive at school regularly and on time, and to ensure their concentration is not impeded by hunger.
Fresh fruit platters, open salad sandwiches and celery with cheese dip are available for students at recess daily. This program helps the children not only to concentrate and increase their learning capacity on a day to day basis but to also introduces them to a variety of healthy and nutritious snacks that they otherwise may not have access to.
Healthy sandwiches or rolls are available for those times when students do not have lunch with them at school.
Activities such as computers, board games, drawing, choir, sport and musical instruments are offered at lunchtimes.
Mentors support students to develop skills and confidence to help them reach their full potential at school and in life. Mentors are matched with students and work with them once or twice a week to assist their academic and social development.
We need 1 or 2 people who can spare 30 minutes a week to help tidy the secondhand uniform cupboard. Contact Debbie on 5996 2878 or 0409 419 306.
Parents, family and community members are warmly welcomed into our school and encouraged to participate in our programs. Interested people can contact our Parent and Community Liaison, Debbie Dodd on 5996 2878 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
