Welcome to Term Four
Welcome back everyone and a special welcome to new students and their families.
This term we will be studying the big idea of How Does What We Do Affect Our Environment.
We are going to be exploring the idea of animals, their needs and why it is important to look after the environment for our wildlife. We are looking forward to the excursion to Moonlit Sanctuary at the end of October for some hands on experiences with wildlife through a variety of exciting programs. This work will be followed up in the classroom, where the students will be creating a visual and written presentation for their class. We will be celebrating their work with a special activity day towards the end of the term.
Last term the students followed up their study about What Is My Place In The World with an art show to showcase their understanding about how other people live. I think you will agree that their understanding and artworks were outstanding. This is a great example of how an excursion can inspire students to go beyond what they already know.
The Gallery excursion and some of the children’s fabulous art works.
Please remember that if you wish to speak to your child’s teacher it is a good idea to make an appointment. It is often difficult to talk properly at the start or end of the school day.
